Worth a try: Ali's fundraising dinner featuring former rugby referee Nigel Owens raises £15,000!

Money split between St Michael’s and We Are Farming Minds

When Ali decided to hold a dinner with legendary former rugby union referee Nigel Owens as speaker, she hoped the evening would raise vital funds for “two important charities”.

Little did she know that the event, held at Luctonians Rugby Club, would raise a whopping £15,000!

The money has been split between ourselves, and We Are Farming Minds.

“I know many people who have received care from St Michael’s,” said Ali, who is pictured (left) at St Michael’s with Amy from our Events & Community team. “I’m a farmer’s daughter, and St Michael’s has been such a vital charity for so many farmers.”
