Supportive Care Volunteer

Role Purpose

The role will involve offering emotional and practical support, as well as companionship, to those experiencing loss. Your role is to provide a safe and compassionate space for people to navigate their loss and explore ways to reduce isolation. This can include introducing those to community groups to help build confidences.

What we’re looking for

A kind empathic person who can offer emotional support, as well offering a practical approach to enable someone to build the confidence to continue with a new way of being. Offering companionship, reducing feelings of loneliness and the ability to signpost confidently to other services.
